Subgenus: Passiflora, Supersection: Passiflora, Series: Passiflora. White Maypop. One of the most frost-hardy of all Passionflowers, P. incarnata has lovely, medium-sized flowers that are pure white. It also produces edible fruits that are often used for juice and sorbet. It is an herbaceous species that will regrow every year from the roots. Will not tolerate water-logged soil. Hardy to 5 degrees F or even lower provided that it is kept on the dry side.
