Certainly one of the most stunning passion flowers available. Huge, 6.5" pendant red flowers have a striking black center. Bred from Passiflora parritae and Passiflora antioquiensis, this is sure to be one of the most sought passiflora this year. Will not tolerate hot climates where the temperature is routinely over 85 degrees, but will tolerate more heat if it doesn't last more than a couple of days. Plants that have been grafted to heat-tolerant rootstocks have reportedly done very well in hot climates. Afternoon shade is recommended. Will tolerate a slight frost. Zone 9.
